We are working on building a permaculture farm. Our goal is to be able to create a space where for parts of the year people can go to instead of the grocery store. A pick your own groceries farm available to the neediest in our community in Wetzel County West Virginia and the lowest or no price. We need help digging terraces and ponds, building fences, building natural buildings, (outdoor kitchen, community shower, community greenhouse, root cellar, tool, seed, and book library.
Platform Builder (General Contributor)
Help shape the direction of Bahoi in whatever way you can contribute. This is an open-ended role for people who see gaps, have ideas, and want to actively help build the system—whether through strategy, design, organizing, or experimentation. Good fit if you’re proactive and like building things from the ground up.
UI/UX Tester
Explore the platform, identify friction points, and suggest improvements. You’ll focus on how intuitive the experience feels—from the assessment to completing opportunities and earning time-hours. Good fit if you notice details, enjoy breaking things (constructively), and think in user journeys.
Content Writer/Storyteller
Create written content that explains, explores, and expands on the ideas behind Bahoi. This could include articles on time-banking, mutual aid, alternative economies, or storytelling about contributions happening within the platform. Good fit if you like writing with purpose and helping people understand new systems.
Community Onboarding Guide
Help new members understand how Bahoi works and feel welcomed into the ecosystem. You’ll guide users through taking the assessment, exploring opportunities, and completing their first contributions. This role is about reducing confusion and helping people find their place quickly. Good fit if you enjoy helping people, explaining systems, and building community.
Social Media & Outreach
Help bring new people into the ecosystem and share what Bahoi is about. This includes posting content, engaging with communities, and finding aligned spaces where this project can grow organically. Good fit if you understand online communities and enjoy connecting ideas with people.
Senior Center Music Hour
Play instruments or sing for residents at the senior center. Solo or small ensembles welcome.
Hospital Companion Volunteer
Visit patients without family support. Conversation, reading, or just keeping someone company.
